Schnappers

Cafe in Mornington

A pastel painting of Mornington Pier

There is a small cafe overlooking the Mornington pier called ‘Schnappers.’ The food is fine and not particularly fancy, but if you want to go ‘upmarket’ there is always the restaurant next door.

Schnappers has a large window facing out over the harbour, showcasing a myriad of boats – all shapes and sizes. They are a joy to behold.

Of course, if you really want to soak up the salt air and commune with the squawking seagulls, there are a number of outdoor tables and chairs.

My ‘Schnappers’ pastel painting hangs inside the cafe and there are two display stands featuring a range of my art cards on the main counter.

Happily, the cards sell very well and I always try to restock them early in the day, so as to avoid falling over the lunchtime crowd.

The cafe is blessed with a wonderful location and it is a very popular venue.
